BTS and Beyond: Debunking Misconceptions and Exploring Game Perceptions
To be honest, before I knew much about BTS, I kinda disliked it for literally no reason. I guess because, in my school, there was always a group of people who absolutely loved BTS and made sure the entire school knew about it. And then, pretty much everyone else disliked them. Now, that I’m a fan, I think that people who dislike it either just don’t like K-pop because it’s in Korean and they can’t understand it or because they just tried listening to it and found it not to their liking. Others might feel annoyed by the die-hard fanbase of BTS, known as ARMY, who can sometimes be too passionate.
Why I Changed My Mind About BTS
But to be honest, they’re now my favorite band, and that’s why I think some people might.
The BTS Game My Experience
The BTS game, while innocuous, never particularly bothered me. A simple translation mistake regarding gender pronouns was quickly fixed. However, I don’t think these scenes were intended to be flirtatious, and it’s more about the cultural exchange and representation in the game.
Regarding trigger warnings, I believe they aren’t a bad idea, especially for matters like Jimin’s storyline, which was based on a real incident. It’s important to be sensitive to such issues and provide warnings to prevent distress. However, the focus on trigger warnings can sometimes overshadow the overall quality of the game.
Critique of the Game Mechanics and Gameplay
What I do have a problem with is the terrible card rates. It's incredibly challenging to obtain 4 or 5 star cards. With an 11 draw, I nearly always get 1-star cards, which is frustrating.
I also feel the game is slightly disappointing. Despite the excellent work by the BTS/BIG hit team, including filming and voice acting, the game feels somewhat constrained with limited choices in interactions and a straightforward plot. This approach makes the game feel like a very basic “wrong option, okay option, good option” system, which can bore the player over time.
Looking Forward to Improvement
I haven’t deleted the game, and I will admit it's not all that bad. I’m just not the biggest fan of this genre, but I will continue playing it for the boys. If they can address some of my concerns, the game could definitely improve. For instance, more options for manager work and mini-games similar to Mystic Messenger could make the experience more engaging.
In conclusion, while there are certainly areas for improvement in the game, it’s not all bad. I hope the developers listen to player feedback and continue to create engaging experiences for fans like me.
