What Would Happen if You Had the Powers of The Hulk from Marvel Comics?

The question that often comes to mind in the realm of superhuman powers is whether having such immense strength and resilience would change based on the individual. In the case of the character She-Hulk, the manifestation of the Hulk's powers seems to be influenced by the emotional state of the bearer. But what if I, an ordinary person, had the same powers as the Hulk?

My Hypothetical Powers: A He-Hulk?

If I were to possess the Hulk's abilities, would I be more like She-Hulk? The answer seems to be no, based on the hypothetical scenario. My temper is just as good as any other person's—if not better. Even when I'm completely justified in my anger, I cannot stay angry for long. Under such conditions, I would most likely express my power as a 'He-Hulk': tall, green, and highly athletic. My demeanor would also be less inhibited, making me more in line with a traditional view of the Hulk rather than She-Hulk.

Responsibility and Power: A Call to Action

A popular quote states, 'With great power comes great responsibility.' This could not be truer in the case of such immense abilities. Most of us live comfortable lives without the fear of famine or war. However, the presence of such incredible strength would indeed come with significant responsibilities.

I would use my newfound powers to address the conflict in Ukraine. My goal would be to lay waste to the Russian Army and then vanish into the unknown. Glory and killing are not my priorities. But with this power, eliminating this conflict is not a choice anymore. Every day, countless lives are lost in a war that shouldn’t have started in the first place. A virtually invincible, immensely powerful entity could bring down more destruction than all the aid the United States has failed to deliver. Perhaps this could lead to peace, and with those powers, I could even build a brighter future.

An Evolving Human Nature with Absolute Power

Even with such immense powers, ruling the planet would be just a human endeavor. Most individuals, myself included, would seek to rule with an iron fist, much like any other human would. The idea that one could use their powers for the betterment of humanity is often met with skepticism. Any attempt to improve the lives of others, especially in the face of tyranny or oppression, would likely be seen as an invasion of freedom.

The saying, 'Absolute power corrupts absolutely,' rings true in many scenarios. Rare individuals exist who resist this corruption, but it is unlikely that I would be one of them. The constant struggle to help others while still facing condemnation and hate would be overwhelming. Therefore, the only solution would be to maintain absolute control over everyone. 'Everyone, listen to me or I will eliminate you all because I tried to help and you rejected me, so now you must bow to my will.'

It is human nature to fall into our baser instincts, and this is a principle that has long been recognized. History has shown that power corrupts, and very few exceptions exist to this rule. The thought of leading a world where my every whim is law is a prospect I must accept.

So, embrace your new world leader. Many won't enjoy it, but I am willing to make this sacrifice.
