The Unforgettable John Wick 3: What Fans Had to Say
John Wick 3, the third installment in the iconic action franchise, has been a source of both surprise and satisfaction for its fans. The movie exceeds expectations with its elevated level of violence and intricate action sequences, making it a must-watch for the genre's enthusiasts. In this article, we explore the reactions of various viewers to what John Wick 3 has to offer and anticipate what the future might hold with John Wick 4.
Exceeded Expectations: A Masterpiece in Action
Many viewers found John Wick 3 to be a dramatic improvement over previous films in the series. One fan, for instance, expressed how the movie surpassed their expectations:
No. It exceeded them dramatically. Increased level of violence and even more tactical ‘gun play’. I loved the technical fights near the end with the mirror room. Not to mention the defense of the Continental that was a masterpiece. I cannot wait for what John Wick 4 has in store for us.
This view highlights the unique blend of violence and technical precision that defines the John Wick series. The intricate fight scenes, particularly the reflection battles in the mirror room, are praised as a highlight of the movie. The defense of the Continental hotel is also described as a masterpiece, suggesting that the movie offers not just action but also a detailed and thoughtfully crafted narrative setting.
Slight Disappointments: Room for Improvement
Not every viewing experience was as enthusiastic, however. Some fans pointed out several flaws in the film that detracted from the overall enjoyment. One viewer, for example, noted multiple technical issues:
Yes. I wasn't expecting as much as Wick after seeing 2. There were many sloppy flaws - a car with no engine or transmission that was shot 1000's of times with no holes. The movie was filmed too dark with the glass and mirrors fight filmed from too far away. The horses didn't run from gun fire. At least one motorcycle scene had a rider that looked nothing like Reeves. Halle Berry was a terrible casting choice with her twig arms. Movie makers need to consult much more closely with fans.
This feedback touches on common complaints such as low production value and casting choices. The movie’s strong emphasis on technical accuracy and production quality seems to have been overshadowed by these issues, leading some fans to question the authenticity of certain scenes.
Unseen but Hyped: Anticipation for the Next Installment
Several fans have yet to see the movie but remain optimistic and excited about what the future might hold:
Yet to watch the movie. Will watch this weekend only then would be able to comment on that. I feel that the expectation is higher for the next film, and I have high hopes for it.
Yes and no! Let me explain. It lived up to what I fully expected it to be like in terms of stylised gun play and fights but it was too much for me! It was just unbelievable that a single man, for the most part, could fight at 100 for that long against as many adversaries as he did in as many places and still come out on top given the time juries and physical battering he takes. It certainly wasn't the best John Wick film. That's still the first one in my mind.
Don’t know haven’t seen it yet. But I do have high hopes for it and even if it sucks at least I get to look at Halle Berry for a little while!!!
These reactions highlight a mix of anticipation and open-mindedness. While some hope for a higher standard, others are willing to overlook imperfections in favor of the spectacle and performances. The promise of future installments, particularly John Wick 4, keeps the franchise alive in the hearts of its fans.
Conclusion
John Wick 3 receives mixed reviews, with some fans praising its elevated action and technical prowess, while others point out flaws and casting decisions. Regardless of criticism, the communal excitement for the franchise continues, fueled by the promise of John Wick 4. The series remains a significant milestone in the action genre, consistently delivering thrilling and unforgettable sequences that captivate audiences around the world.
