Theoretical Battle Dynamics: An Analysis of Lord 1st, 2nd, and 4th vs. Lord 3rd Without Orochimaru’s Resurrection Failure

Often discussed in fan theories are the drastic shifts in power balance when certain events in Naruto do not occur. In this analysis, we explore an alternate scenario where Orochimaru fails to resurrect Lord Forth, thus altering the course of the battle between Lords First, Second, and Fourth against Lord Third.

Introduction

Lord Third was seemingly in line for a difficult challenge or even death if engaged with all three of his opponents: First, Second, and Fourth. Koan, the Last Hokage, consisted of a mix of strong individuals who represented various ninja types. However, the original lore revolved around the 'god of shinobi' title that Hiruzen achieved, attributed to his mastery over all five elements and thousands of techniques.

Redefined Power of Hiruzen

Initially, Hiruzen’s power was underlined by his ability to demonstrate significant prowess against the first two Hokage, Hashirama and Tobirama. Before the retcon, Hiruzen was considered a 'god of shinobi' due to his knowledge and mastery of jutsu. Hashirama’s unique Wood Release and Tobirama’s expertise in Water Release visually and narratively showcased their tremendous , following the retcon, it was revealed that Hashirama was the true 'god of shinobi'. This retcon also introduced Minato's unique abilities, including his inborne skill with sealing techniques and his unmatched Fuinjutsu.

Minato’s Unmatched Skill

Minato, the Fourth Hokage, was portrayed as the main user of Genjutsu and one of the fastest shinobi. He also had the ability to seal the fox with his lethal Fuinjutsu. The fact that even Orochimaru, a highly skilled and well-versed ninja, could not match Hiruzen after being utilized by Minato’s Shiki Fuujin seal further emphasized Minato’s tremendous abilities.

The Battle Scenario

In the original storyline, it was unclear if Hiruzen had any chance against the trio. However, in an alternate scenario, Hiruzen was more cautious against Minato due to his unparalleled skills with Fuinjutsu. Predicting well in advance that Minato would not allow Hiruzen to utilize his seals, Hiruzen faced a disadvantage purely based on age and physical condition. Even though Hiruzen was slightly older than Minato in the original series, this advantage was negated by Minato's youth and skill.

Theoretical Comparison and Analysis

The original post-retcon lore suggests that Hiruzen was not a match for Hashirama, Tobirama, or Minato even at a fraction of their power. Hashirama, with his status as the true 'god of shinobi', presented a formidable target. Both Tobirama and Minato were not only renowned for their Fuinjutsu talents but were also known to be among the fastest shinobi. Additionally, in the final war, Obaiki, at least a decade older, was capable of performing incredible feats despite his physical limitations. This implies that even a physically weakened old man was more powerful than a prime Hiruzen.

The ultimate point of comparison comes with the Third Raikage. His prowess, legendary strength, and abilities significantly overshadow the hypothetical advantage Hiruzen might have had based on his age.

Conclusion

In conclusion, without the failure in bringing back Lord Fourth, the battle between Lords First, Second, and Fourth versus Lord Third would have been a one-sided affair. Even with the original post-retcon elements, Hiruzen would have struggled to compare with the overwhelming prowess of Hashirama, Tobirama, or a young and skilled Minato. This alternate scenario reiterates the immense differences in power and offers a deeper insight into the dynamics of Naruto's ninja world.
