Will Zoro vs King Happen?

As of my last update in August 2023, Zoro and King had already fought in the

Wano Country Arc. However, any future developments or new battles between the two are beyond the scope of my current knowledge. Their fight concluded with Zoro's victory, sealing the fate of the Wano Country Arc.

Approaching Major Battles in Wano

With the end of the Wano Country Arc drawing closer, the focus shifts to the remaining three major fights:

Luffy vs. Kaido Queen vs. Sanji Zoro vs. King

As of now, the fight between Zoro and King is still ongoing, and we have yet to see a clear victory for Zoro. It stands as a 50/50 chance at this point. If you're willing to bet, it's advisable to bet on Zoro if the arc is nearing its conclusion. Conversely, if the arc is still new or not near its end, place your bet on King.

The Logic Behind the Upcoming Battles

According to the narrative, it makes sense for Zoro, as Luffy's strongest nakama, to face off against King, Kaido's strongest commander who is also a swordsman. At the moment, King is battling Marco, and if he suffers a significant defeat, he might be weakened for his upcoming fight with Zoro, revealing his bounty and hybrid form.

The Question of Zoro's Injuries

While it is possible for Zoro to face King, the current narrative indicates that he might be heavily injured. Law has explicitly stated that Zoro has broken a significant number of bones in his body. Despite the presence of capable doctors such as Chopper and Marco, a full recovery in a short span is unlikely. Zoro will likely recover somewhat to face lower-level opponents, similar to how he dealt with the Marines during the Buster Call after overcoming Kaku in Enies Lobby.

Marco and Chopper were previously engaged in battle against King and Queen. With Sanji stepping in to fight Queen and Nekomamushi preparing to avenge Pedro against Perospero, it has left King to face Marco.

By having King and Marco face off against each other, the story offers us the opportunity to see both characters in action, revealing their bounties and possible hybrid forms.
